A 'gin hotel' is opening in London, AKA every gin-lover's dream come true
IF YOU’RE GONE gin mad like the rest of the world, this will be welcome news: A ’boutique’ hotel devoted to the spirit is coming to London’s fancy Notting Hill district.
Opening early next month, The Distillery will have four floors dedicated to gin – on the ground floor, there is a ‘Resting Room’ bar with various types of aged gin hanging in barrels suspended from the ceiling.
On the first floor, there’s a gin and tonic-themed restaurant and bar, called GinTonica:
On the top floor, you will find the three guest rooms (starting at £125/€147 a night) and a private dining area called the Boardroom.
There’s also a room called ‘The Ginstitute’ where guests can learn the history of the spirit, as well as how to make their own.
The front of the building is designed to look like an old-fashioned gin ad, and it’s very pretty indeed:
We’re not saying that you need to take us there, but… You need to take us there. Just for a night. Thanks in advance.
